Processing Multiple Files

Procedure

To process multiple graphic files from one format to another, do the following:

Step Action
1. Open Adobe Photoshop (For example: click "Start" → "Programs" → "Adobe" → "Adobe Photoshop").
2.

Click on "File":

3.

Click on "Scripts" → "Image Processor":

4.

The Image Processor window will pop up:

5.

To convert all the files located in a folder on your PC, go to Section 1 of the Image Processor window and click the "Select Folder" radio button and then click on the "Select Folder" button:

6.

Navigate to the folder where the images you want to convert are located, for example:

7. Click the OK button.
8.

In Section 2, if you want to save the images to the same folder, click the "Save in Same Location" radio button:

Then skip to Step 11. Otherwise go to Step 9.

9.

In Section 2, if you want to save the files in a different folder, click the "Select Folder" radio button and then click on the "Select Folder" button:

10.

Navigate to the folder where you want to save the converted images, for example:

11.

In Section 3, you can save the converted files as jpeg, psd or tiff. For this example, we will be using the jpeg format. Check the "Save as JPEG" box and set the image quality by typing a number between 1 and 12 in the "Quality" box (12 is maximum, 1 is minimum).

12.

Click the "Run" button:

The program will then convert each file in the folder from its original format (for example, tiff) to jpeg. If there are a lot of files, it may take a while.
